Events & Programs

The district welcomes a national author every few years. Volunteers are needed for publicity, book sales, book autographing, school decorating, teacher support, school activities, and more!

A day that students invite a grandparent or grandfriend to celebrate their presence in the students' lives. This day is celebrated biannually, with Veterans Day being celebrated the following year. 

As part of the fundraising efforts the PTO typically provides each family with a book, chosen by the school, to keep. Families are invited to read this book together while spreading the joy and importance of reading.

PTO sponsored event where all families are invited to go to a local skate rink on a specific day off school.

Volunteers help with planning the celebration for the 4th grade class. They also work on coordinating the class gift that is given to the school. 

Volunteers help with setup and help the children pick out a plant to take home in May.

Girls on the run incorporates a program that is across the nation. The program succeeds with volunteers like you! Girls on the run allows girls to build their strength and confidence while having fun at the same time.

A group of volunteers who aim to help new families to the school, families who might speak another language, or anyone who might have a question about how things work at the school. 

This is a unique chance for your child to learn another language conveniently. These classes are typically prior to school. Spanish and Chinese have been offered in years past. As your child advances there are different levels to fit their needs. Please note these courses have an additional charge for students.

Volunteers are needed to help with photography, page layout, portraits, covers, and sales.

Help Maple Dale students stay healthy and have fun at the same time as they participate in the recess walking program! Four volunteers a week are needed, on Wednesdays, from 11:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Volunteers can work the 1st shift (11:10 a.m. -12:15 p.m., 1st- and 3rd- grade lunches) or the 2nd shift (12:15 p.m.-1:45p.m., 2nd- and 4th- grade lunches) or both shifts. Parents help set up, monitor students, and complete minimal paperwork to record miles. Parents can volunteer once or twice a month, or every week.

Help all grades with their lunches and wipe down tables. Please use the sign up sheet on the weekly S'more to choose the relevant dates/times you want to help out.
